We are pleased to announce the release of the new Batch Scan Wizard 6!
This update brings a number of exciting new features and improvements.
Batch Scan Wizard (BSW) is a fast and easy-to-use software solution from Image Access for professional management of large scanning volumes and jobs. The software increases data throughput and significantly reduces operational tasks. Batch Scan Wizard is ideal for processing large scan jobs but is equally useful for smaller volumes, where advanced operations such as page splitting or extraction of specific areas on a document are required.
New Features:
With the import function, digital copies from existing scan jobs can now also be transferred, processed and reworked. The Export suite functions enable image files to be converted without rescanning. Resolution, image sizes and file formats can be changed on the fly. Watermarks can be embedded or attached. OCR text capture in a maximum of eight different languages as well as simultaneous and detailed metadata capture via page indexing are an essential part of the new BSW 6. The user interface (GUI) with new icons, dark mode and workspaces and faster scanner selection and switching between Scan2Net scanners are also practical new features in this expanded version of BSW.
First Success Stories:
Indian National Archives, cities and municipalities in Finland as well as several German state offices and local authorities have scanned documents and imported existing digitized data sets into BSW 6. These digital copies were provided with metadata via the Export Suite and output with the corresponding metadata files. In India, the document content is even captured in eight different languages (Hindi, Gujarati, Marati, Bengali, Sanskrit, Arabic, Urdu & Persian) via OCR and exported as searchable PDF/PDF-A or as text documents.
